Cryptocurrency Liquity (LQTY) gained 38% after the announcement of its listing in Binance's Innovation Zone. The value of the asset rose from $1.42 to $1.96. According to CoinGecko, the token is trading at $1.8 as of 12:15

Liquity is a decentralized credit protocol that accepts Ethereum as collateral and extends credit in LUSD stablecoins. LQTY is a token that pays a fee for contributing liquidity to the protocol.

The Liquity token is traded on major venues such as MEXC, Huobi, Coinbase, Bitget, CoinEx, and many others. LQTY has a market capitalization of $169 million and a daily trading volume of $29.9 million.

Binance will open spot trading in pairs LQTY / BTC and LQTY / USDT on February 28 at 14:00 . Users can already deposit LQTY on the platform, and withdrawals in this cryptocurrency will be available around March 1.

Binance will also add Liquity tokens as a new leveraged asset for the LQTY / USDT margin pair within 48 hours of listing.

LQTY is a relatively new token, Binance noted. Therefore, it will be traded in the Exchange's Innovation Zone for now. This is a special trading zone where new tokens are presented, which are likely to have higher volatility and present a higher risk than other tokens.
