Hackers hacked into the Twitter account of the founder of crypto exchange Uniswap Hayden Adams
The attackers left a link to a fraudulent website registered in Russia
Hackers hacked the Twitter account of the creator of the decentralized exchange Uniswap Hayden Adams, leaving a link to a fraudulent site registered in Russia.
The publication urged users of the service to follow the phishing link to check if they were eligible to receive "UNI gift tokens." One of the fraudulent sites was registered on the day of the hack with a Russian domain registrar.
Approximately nine hours after the incident, Adams reported that access to his account had been restored.
In early July, a hacker attack on the Poly Network blockchain protocol resulted in the issuance of trillions of Shiba Inu (SHIB) tokens, as well as billions of other tokens with a total value of more than $42 billion. The attackers were able to exchange some of them for other cryptocurrencies before selling them on an exchange.
