Ankr token rises 51% after announcement of partnership with Microsoft
Ankr token gained 51% after announcement of a partnership between the Ankr blockchain infrastructure project and Microsoft Corporation
Web3 infrastructure provider and the corporation founded by Bill Gates will offer a new service to host blockchain nodes in Microsoft's Azure cloud service
The Ankr token (ANKR) appreciated 51.5% after a press release about a partnership between Web3 infrastructure provider Ankr and Microsoft. According to CoinMarketCap, the price of the asset rose from $0.033 to $0.05 within 25 minutes of the announcement. As of 5:50 p.m. Moscow time, the token is trading around the $0.049 mark.
Ankr is a Web3 decentralized infrastructure provider. It provides a remote procedure call (RPC) service that allows application developers and users to connect cloud nodes to 19 blockchains, including BNB Chain, Ethereum, Polygon, Solana and Avalanche. The project enables the creation of applications and the use of customized blockchain solutions for businesses.
As part of the partnership, the two companies will offer a new blockchain node deployment service on Microsoft's Azure cloud service.
"Our partnership with Ankr will enable developers and organizations to securely and reliably access blockchain data to solve real-world business problems," said Microsoft general manager of AI and emerging technologies Rashmi Misra.
Microsoft executives are known for their interest in artificial intelligence and blockchain-related technologies, but are ambivalent about cryptocurrencies.
Back in 2020, the corporation founded by Bill Gates patented a mining system that uses data on human body activity to mine digital money. And in June of the same year, Microsoft announced the launch of the Decentralized Identifier Network (DID), which works in particular on the bitcoin blockchain.
