They're about to shoot a "Dogumentary" movie about the shiba-inu Kabosa that has become a Dogecoin symbol
NFT-community Own the Doge and PleasrDAO project, which bought the rights to the DOGE meme for $4 million, involves Hollywood producers and stimming companies to promote the story of a dog Cabosu - the symbol of the coin
Supporters of Dogecoin (DOGE) have made a "Dogumentary" movie about the meme cryptocurrency, writes Decrypt. NFT-community Own the Doge and the PleasrDAO project, which acquired the rights to the image of the DOGE meme for $4 million in 2021, created and financed an as-yet-untitled feature film about the transformation of an abandoned shiba-inu puppy nicknamed Kabosu into a Dogecoin cryptocurrency symbol.
The film was directed by John Lynn and is currently in production. Despite the initial niche nature of the project, its creators hope to expand it to a mass audience and are looking for new partners to promote the tape.
At this point, according to one of the film's producers, a.k.a. tri dog, the project has enlisted the support of Jim Toth, a former Hollywood casting agent, producer, and ex-husband of actress Reese Witherspoon. Also joining them, according to tri dog, are "Feels Good Man" documentary director Arthur Jones and producer Evan Rosenfeld.
The creative team behind the film is also trying to attract major film distributors such as streaming platforms Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime Video. The filmmakers believe that for their part, they can offer these companies an asset they may be interested in - an audience interested in the success of the project.
Dogecoin is a cryptocurrency that is one of the top 10 largest digital assets by market capitalization at $11.7 billion. According to CoinGecko, the coin gained 33% from $0.06 to $0.08 at the beginning of the year.
In early April, after Elon Max placed the DOGE symbol in place of Twitter's logo, the coin's price was climbing above $0.102. However, a few days later, when Kabosu's dog image disappeared from the social network, the DOGE rate returned to the level of $0.08.
